Write in paragraph form as if you are summarizing the story thus far. Make sure to also list the title of the book and the author's name in the intro paragraph. Make it engaging so I want to read more. Make sure to go for that A grade!
- Who are the main characters of your book?
- What is happening? Include some of the important events thus far.
- Where and when is the story set? I want details. Make sure to show not just tell. I want to feel like I am there.
- How and/or Why is the character motivated? What makes them tick? Why are they doing what they are doing?
Finally, finish this intro with a paragraph that draws a connection to another person or character that is similar. Also, include your opinion about the main character. Is this someone you would befriend, respect, avoid etc and why.
Make sure your writing has a strong close, smooth and interesting transitions, and that you have used some interesting vocabulary. (hint: Use a thesaurus)
